I remember something that a 19th century Russian Saint said that seems to be along the same lines. He said, "Acquire the Holy Spirit and thousands will be saved." (St. Seraphim of Sarov) It is possible to influence people by the way we live our lives. It's tough living the Christian life sometimes. Often we must live against the grain of society and do things that many people will make fun of us for doing them or not doing things that many people think we should be doing. Obeying the teachings in the Gospel can be difficult but challenging. Jesus said, "I am the Way" and "Follow Me." He is our guide, teacher, and example. As we follow Him, people will see more of Him in us.
